The 2019 Petit Verdot may have been the shining star of the 2019 vintage.  It has a complex yet subtle bouquet of flowers and sage that encompass a core of dark blackberry, blackcurrant and plum that finishes with sweet tobacco. The wine is perfectly balanced with intense and concentrated fruit flavors the result of extended four-week maceration on the skins before being gently pressed off in November of 2019 as it aged for 10 months in 40% new French oak and 20% One-year French Oak barrels. Petit Verdot in our experience rejoices in new French oak that adds to the complexity and integration of the smooth and assertive tannins that fill the palate lingering into the long and sumptuous finish.
